Hatha Yoga (Live via Zoom)

Traditional yoga for strength, flexibility, breath, and steadiness — taught from Eileen's home studio over Zoom.

Hatha is the foundational form of yoga from which most modern styles trace their roots. Eileen's Hatha classes are taught live over Zoom from her home studio, blending traditional postures, intentional breath work, and short meditations. Classes move at a pace that respects your body, with options for every shape: more challenging variations for experienced practitioners, gentler alternatives when you need them. The result is a practice that builds steadiness in body and mind without burning either out.

Format

Live group classes over Zoom from Eileen's home studio in Southern Utah. Class size kept small to allow for personal cues. Recordings may be available on request.

Who it's for

All levels welcome — true beginners through seasoned practitioners. Especially helpful for adults rebuilding a movement practice, managing chronic stress, recovering from injury, or looking for a sustainable practice that complements an Ayurvedic lifestyle.

What to Expect

What happens in a hatha yoga session?

  • A short opening to settle the breath and arrive in the body
  • A balanced sequence of standing, seated, and floor postures with clear cues
  • Pranayama (breathing) techniques woven through the class
  • A short closing meditation and savasana
  • Modifications offered throughout — never feel locked into a shape that doesn't work for you

How to Prepare

What should you bring?

  • A yoga mat (or a non-slip surface)
  • Comfortable clothing you can move and breathe in
  • Optional: a yoga block, a folded blanket, and a strap (or any belt)
  • Water nearby
  • An empty stomach — try not to eat a heavy meal within 2 hours of class
