Common Questions

What People Ask Most

What is Ayurveda?
Ayurveda is a traditional system of natural medicine from India, often translated as 'science of life.' It focuses on balancing your body, mind, and spirit through personalized diet, lifestyle, herbal recommendations, yoga, and meditation tailored to your unique constitution.
What is a dosha, and which one am I?
The three doshas — Vata, Pitta, and Kapha — are the elemental energies that combine in unique proportions to make up your individual constitution (Prakriti). Most people are a blend of two doshas. The free dosha quiz on this site walks you through a Prakriti and digestion assessment and produces a downloadable PDF you can share with Eileen at your consultation.
Do I need to live in Utah to work with Eileen?
No. Yoga classes are taught live over Zoom, and Ayurvedic consultations are offered both virtually (worldwide) and in-person throughout Washington County, Utah — including St. George, Washington, Hurricane, Ivins, Santa Clara, La Verkin, Toquerville, and Springdale.
Is an Ayurvedic consultation a substitute for medical care?
No. Ayurveda is a wellness and lifestyle practice. Eileen is a credentialed practitioner-in-training, not a licensed physician. Continue working with your doctor for medical concerns; an Ayurvedic plan complements that care with personalized diet, lifestyle, and herbal guidance.
How is my health information handled?
Bookings, intake forms, and clinical notes are collected and stored exclusively by IntakeQ — a HIPAA-compliant platform with a Business Associate Agreement. No protected health information is stored on this website. The dosha quiz runs entirely in your browser and is never transmitted to our servers.
